Written communication skills, as well as attention to detail, are important skills for an Email Marketing Executive and advantageous for this type of role.
An Email Marketing Executive usually reports to the Email Marketing Manager or Digital Marketing Manager and often sits within a marketing/digital marketing team.
This type of position would be suited to either someone who has been working in a broader digital content role or as a generalist Digital Marketing Executive looking to move into a channel specific role.
As an Email Marketing Executive, the role would usually encompass the following responsibilities:
  • The creation of distribution of email marketing campaigns and activity
  • Implement email marketing communication strategy
  • Have an awareness of customer segmentation
  • Reporting on campaign performance and key metrics including open, click and bounce rates and improve customer engagement
  • Testing of emails using industry best practice to maximise inbox deliverability and minimise unsubscribe rates
