This working partnership would usually be based within a creative agency, coming up with ideas for a variety of campaigns for various B2C and B2B clients. Alternatively, a Middleweight Copywriter role can involve writing marketing and digital content, print collateral, content strategy, web projects, email campaigns and internal communications. A Middleweight Copywriter will often sit within a copy team reporting to a Head of Copy or within a wider marketing or creative team reporting to a Creative Director.

The Middleweight Copywriter role would usually encompass the following responsibilities:
Generating ideas and often collaborating with an Art Director for advertising and marketing campaigns to be used across printed and digital communications. Skills required are good conceptual abilities, excellent command of the English language and proof-reading skills. Applying brand tone of voice and making ideas work through different channels. Writing headlines, short copy and long copy.
