About Stratford upon Avon
Stratford-upon-Avon, commonly known as just Stratford, is a market town and civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon district, in the county of Warwickshire.

Stratford-Upon-Avon is a medieval market town and is the 16th-century birthplace of William Shakespeare, and is also home to his burial site. Both of which are huge contributions to its tourist attractions. The Holy Trinity Church is where Shakespeare was baptised and where he was buried. Shakespeare is possibly the most famous writer in the English Language and known for his sonnets and plays, such as 'Romeo and Juliet' and 'Hamlet'. The Royal Shakespeare Company performs his plays in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and adjacent Swan Theatre on the banks of the River Avon.
Stratford is also home to the UK’s largest tropical butterfly farm. Which is just one of many attractions that helps Stratford-Upon-Avon receive between 2.5 million and 3 million visitors annually.
