Typically, a PPC Manager would be responsible for the strategy, planning and implementation of all PPC activity with the aim of increasing brand awareness, user engagement, conversions and complementing the wider integrated marketing strategy. You would have expertise across all main paid for channels as well as experience utilising Google AdWords, Bing Ads, Google analytic. Knowledge of bid management tools and conversion tracking would be advantageous.
This role would usually sit within the digital/ marketing team, working with other members of the team to implement an integrated strategy and may have the support from a PPC Executive and direct line management responsibilities.
The role of PPC Manager would be suitable for someone who is already in a PPC/Paid Search role, has a good working knowledge of the key areas and is looking to progress within this area.
As a PPC Manager, the role would often encompass the following responsibilities:
  • Planning and implementation of strategic PPC campaigns in Google AdWords and Bing Ads
  • Analysis, optimisation and management of PPC campaigns to ensure optimal performance and efficiencies
  • Ensuring Paid Search best practice is adhered to
  • Working closely with the rest of the marketing team to produce integrated strategies
  • Experience working with Google Analytics and bid management tools
  • Budget management
