At Beyond The Bookwe specialise in recruitment in the Creative, Marketing and Digital space, including Producers.
Typically, an agency Producer is responsible for managing and overseeing all film and photography production. They will work independently to plan and coordinate various aspects of production, such as overseeing the script and concept, coordinating writing, logistics, directing, editing and arranging financing.
A Producer will be a highly organised team player, who will be expected to work effectively with creative teams, Photographers, client leads, internal and freelance production crews. They will be a self-starter, proactive and capable of managing a team and working closely with key stakeholders to produce a high standard of work.
A Producer will typically require 3+ years’ experience of managing shoot productions as a freelancer or in a creative or production agency. A successful candidate will have the ability to seamlessly manage a heavy workload under pressure by effectively prioritising, planning and overseeing multiple tasks at any one time.
As well as having a positive, can-do outlook and creative flare, a Producer will need to demonstrate effective negotiation skills with experience managing multiple suppliers and freelancers.
A Producer role will often involve the following responsibilities:
  • Oversee the costing, pre-production, production, and post-production for both still and moving image projects, ensuring the job is delivered on time and on budget, whilst also ensuring agency and client requirements are met
  • Effectively liaise with the Client, Creative, Account Management, and Production to fully understand the requirements, expectations, and vision of each production
  • Managing logistics for all shoots inclusive of scripts, concepts and storyboards, crew, locations, catering and risk assessments
  • Attend shoots to ensure they remain to the brief, on schedule and within budget
  • Post-production management, booking resource and liaising with the Client/Account Handlers on the edits and delivery schedule
  • Keeping abreast of any legal developments or changes that may create compliance issues for shoots and ensure any issues are raised to Senior Management
  • Create and manage the delivery of project documentation (proposals, schedules, call-sheets, budgets, trackers)
  • End-to-end management of multiple cross channel productions (stills/photographic/motion graphics)
  • Establish and maintain clear project communication with internal and external parties
  • Actively lead strategic discussions, brainstorming and project development
  • Contracting and management of freelancers for relevant projects
