Typically, the role of an SEO Executive is required to support on and offsite SEO across a company’s websites to improve SERPS within Google and Bing. There is also sometimes the requirement for an understanding of technical SEO, depending on the company and team structure. The role would usually be responsible for developing and optimising on-site content, keyword research, link building, etc. For this type of role, good written communication is beneficial as well as awareness and usage of key SEO tools such as SEMrush, MOZ, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and Google Analytics.
This specialist digital role would usually sit within the digital / marketing team and either report to the Marketing or Digital Marketing Manager.
An SEO Executive role would suit someone who is already working within a digital content role has experience in SEO practices and want to move into a more specialised role.
As an SEO Executive, the role would often encompass the following responsibilities:

  • Developing and writing optimised content to support SEO strategy
