social media executive jobs in west midlands

At Beyond The Book we specialise in recruitment in the Creative, Marketing and Digital space, including Social Media Executives.
Typically, the main remit of a Social Media Executive is to drive customer interaction, engagement and sales through social media channels. This could be through organic content such as competitions, promotions and engaging content or paid for advertising.
In this role, depending on the nature of the business, you would need organic and paid experience across the main social channels, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter. This role would usually sit within the digital marketing/communications team and either report to the Marketing or Digital Marketing Manager.
A Social Media Executive role would suit someone who is already working within a communication, digital content role, has experience of the different social media channels and an awareness of how they can be optimised and used as part of a marketing strategy.
As a Social Media Executive, the role would often encompass the following responsibilities:
  • Implementing social media activity in line with brand guideline and content calendar
  • Supporting social media activities, providing interesting and engaging copy for posts across main social channels
  • Reporting and analysis of activity through channel dashboards and Google analytics
  • Keeping up to date with the latest trends and development within the social media industry as a whole and per channel
