Our client is an in-house agency, sitting just outside Birmingham. The agency is structured with an established Account Management team, various levels and leanings of Content Creators, a Proof Reader/Editor, a Production Assistant and a tech print team. The workplace is really energising and inspiring and the team is a motivated and talented team of Designers who have individual leanings in print, film, animation, digital.
The projects are very varied, across very different areas of the business and in themselves (events, social, digital, film, 3D, exhibition, integrated campaigns and more). This role reports to the Agency Director and leads a team of nine.
Summary of Role
A hands-on role proactively developing and inspiring innovative multi-media channel creative solutions across digital, social media, film, motion, photography, design and print which exceed client expectations and drive business growth, with a focus on expanding their digital offering. This role will create concepts across promotional, advertising and branding campaigns through a range of mediums, bringing together a mix of marketing expertise and business understanding. The role will approach client briefs agnostically.
As a member of the leadership team, the role leads a team of creative Content Producers, and your role will inspire others, taking creative to a new level and form dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences to deliver the best multi-channel creative experience.
A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant area, plus significant relevant workplace experience in creative direction
Significant proven experience working on creative direction and concepts in advertising, marketing, film/media production or design sectors, either in an agency or corporate setting
Significant demonstrative digital, media, film, design experience, particularly with, but not limited to web, social and emerging technologies. You don’t have to have crafted in all these areas but will be able to storyboard and direct
Ability to create innovative concepts and vision for others to work on, while remaining open to other’s ideas
Must be a creative and strategic thinker
Well-connected externally across the creative industry and uses these connections to drive creative thinking and innovation internally
Keen awareness of current multi-media channel trends and technology awareness
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and confident presentation skills order to pitch ideas to clients or explain their ideas to members of the creative team
Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills
Have in-depth knowledge of brand development and multi-media channel marketing models
Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives
Able to think creatively with agility under time pressure
Highly skilled with leading a team of creative talent
Strong ability to proactively manage multiple projects simultaneously at pace whilst maintaining strict attention to detail
Strong leadership skills in order to hire, develop and oversee the creative team
Agile, pro-active, problem-solving attitude
Experience in championing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in own work area
Ability to monitor and evaluate the extent to which equality and diversity legislation, policies, procedures are applied
Ability to identify issues with the potential to impact protected groups and take appropriate action
