Are you a PR and Communications Manager looking for an in-house role working with a leading brand in Birmingham? I am working with a leading events and exhibitions company based in the West Midlands as they are looking for a PR and Communications Manager to join their comms team. You may be working in-house at the moment, or coming from an agency background and looking to focus your attention on a couple of core brands. You will be experienced in all things communications from feeding into the overall strategy, writing content for press releases, articles, blogs. You will be liaising with the media to pitch storied (regional and some national) and you will love social media. You may have some experience in writing key messaging for use across social platforms. If you have any experience in crisis comms, this is a bonus! Our client is a true leader in what they do, and they are excited to be looking for a superstar to join their growing team. The role will be office-based 3 days a week with 2 days working from the comfort of your own home. With such a great working environment you will want to be in the office! The Company

A leading events and exhibitions company (in-house) operating across the UK with their HQ in Birmingham. They work with a range of businesses and consumers and have some iconic key brands within their group that you will get to work with. Despite the difficult year the events space has faced, they are going strong and are busier than ever!

The Role

As PR and Communications Manager, you will be managing strategies and delivering the communications activities for 2 brands within the company. You will be looking at what is working and making recommendations to improve. You will be working closely with the Head of PR and Communications and taking ownership of your projects. You will be involved in PR, communications, content, and social media. Not only is this company a well-known and highly regarded brand, but they know how to look after their people and have a great reputation in the industry.

About You

You will be coming from an in-house OR agency background and you will be incredibly passionate about communications.

  • Strong experience in content creation for press releases, articles, social media, key messaging

  • Some experience in crisis communications would be a bonus

  • You will be strategic minded and will assist with the overall PR and Communications strategy for your brands

  • You will have built brilliant relationships with the media (including trade) and will love nurturing these relationships

  • You will enjoy all sides to communications and enjoy building on your skillset

  • An interest in the events space is key

  • Proven experience in working in a similar role where you are involved in all aspects of communications

  • Confident and passionate

  • Love working in a hybrid way

  • A team player but also able to manage your own workload

This role is based in Birmingham and will be office-based 3 days a week, offering loads of flexibility. This role would suit a Senior PR Account Executive with strong experience OR a PR and Communications Manager looking for a new role, or maybe you are a PR Account Manager/Director looking to move in-house.
