I have the pleasure of working with one of the largest creative communications agencies in the Midlands that is looking for a Strategic Planner (£50k DOE) to join their collaborative team. This agency is a large team of around 300 strong, working across campaigns and live events for both B2B and B2C clients. This position sits in the campaign team, using their research and strategic experience to feed valuable insights into the creative strategy. The role is based in part, in the Worcestershire area.

If you enjoy forward planning and love to incorporate research into Marketing and Creative strategy, then this could be the role for you! This agency is looking for someone who loves generating ideas and interpreting research findings into successful campaigns. You will have the support of a small research and insights team.

About You

You enjoy looking at strategic ways to execute creative through multiple channels and leading and supporting on creative pitches. You have worked for either a creative or marketing agency where you have sourced research and supporting data and have the knowledge of how different channels can be most suited to a variety of creative ideas.

You have excellent writing and presentation skills and enjoy multi-tasking whilst working across a large range of projects. You're a problem solver who loves to keep on learning from the different challenges creative briefs can bring. You have had involvement in both B2B and B2C projects for internal and external communications and often successfully make recommendations work across multiple channels.


  • Ability to independently source supporting data and research

  • Have a proven research background and detail orientated analytical skills

  • Ability to work across a broad range of client categories and very different consumer groups

  • Strong interpersonal, organisational and supervisory skills

  • Excellent creative problem-solving skills when working independently and in a large team

  • Extensive and practical marcomms knowledge

  • Have previously supported a creative team with the best ways to implement planning, research, insight and development
