Art Product & Programme Manager

We are delighted to be partnering with this impressive brand in the search for an Art Product & Programme Manager. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who combines a genuine appreciation for creativity and Art with a strong commercial and business head.

You absolutely do not need to come from the fine art world, but a knowledge and passion for Art is required. This could be particularly well suited to someone who has worked within a smaller, product-led creative business - perhaps jewellery, interiors, design, luxury products, craft or a similar environment – where you've had to wear lots of hats and build strong relationships with the people behind the product.

At its heart, this is an all-round management role. You'll be responsible for a portfolio of artists and will become their key point of contact, supporting them commercially and practically while ensuring everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. This role comes with a salary of £30 - £40k (DOE), and hybrid working on offer, post onboarding. Candidates do need to be very close to Staffordshire for ad hoc pop ins outside of the hybrid working.

The Role

You'll build close, trusted relationships with your artists - getting to know them, their work and their individual needs. Some will need more guidance and support than others, so you'll need to be someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and can adapt your approach accordingly.

But, this isn't purely a relationship role. There's a very practical and commercial side to it too.

You'll be involved in everything from onboarding new artists and managing artwork and stock levels through to invoicing, administration, coordinating activity and attending trade fairs and events. And you'll support brand development of your artists by working with marketing, online and design channels. You'll need to understand what is selling, what stock is required and what needs to happen next, while keeping artists informed, engaged and supported.

It means on any given day you could be:

  • Building relationships with and supporting a portfolio of artists
  • Onboarding new artists into the business
  • Coordinating artwork, products, and stock
  • Monitoring stock levels and responding to commercial demand
  • Managing invoicing and associated administration
  • Liaising with different teams across the business
  • Supporting the commercial development of an artist's work
  • Attending trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry events
  • Problem-solving and keeping lots of moving parts on track

It's broad, varied and hands-on, so this will really suit someone who enjoys owning something end-to-end rather than operating within a narrow job description.

About You

The sweet spot for this role is someone who has both creative appreciation and commercial common sense.

You might already work within art or galleries, but equally you could come from jewellery, interiors, homeware, luxury goods, fashion accessories, craft, design or another creative product-led environment.

Perhaps you've worked for a smaller business where you've managed relationships with designers, makers, suppliers, or product owners whilst also getting involved in stock, orders, invoicing, exhibitions, events and general business operations.

You'll be naturally organised and comfortable with detail and numbers, but you'll also be warm, personable and relationship led. You'll need the confidence to work with creative personalities, sometimes providing quite a lot of support and guidance, while still keeping an eye on the commercial needs of the business.

Most importantly, you'll enjoy variety. This isn't a role for someone who wants to stay firmly within one lane. It's for someone who likes getting involved, taking ownership, solving problems and making things happen.

If you're commercially-minded but drawn to creative environments and love the idea of building relationships with talented people while managing everything needed to help those relationships succeed, this could be a really interesting next move.
