Freelance Marketing & Promotions Manager

Can you turn local connections and creative marketing into bookings and footfall? We’re working with an established Birmingham nightlife and live entertainment venue looking for a commercially minded freelancer to take ownership of its marketing and promotions.

This is an autonomous, hands-on opportunity combining digital marketing with local partnerships and business development. You’ll work directly with the owners to build awareness, attract new customers and grow VIP, private-party and group bookings. 

This is a freelance role offering £250–£300 per day on an initial three-month assignment, with the potential to extend.

Birmingham / Remote / Fractional

Responsibilities:

• Developing campaigns and promotions that generate paying customers
• Building relationships with hotels, concierges, event organisers and relevant local partners
• Identifying opportunities around NEC exhibitions, conferences and major Birmingham events
• Improving the venue’s digital presence, coordinating specialist support where needed
• Encouraging repeat visits and tracking the commercial results of your activity

Expertise required:

• Have marketing and promotions experience within hospitality, nightlife, leisure or events
• Can demonstrate how your work has increased bookings, footfall or revenue
• Know Birmingham’s hospitality and events scene
• Are confident meeting potential partners and developing new business
• Can combine practical digital marketing skills with the initiative to get out and make things happen

Initially you will be required for two days per week for three months, with the potential for an ongoing engagement. The work will combine remote activity with visits to the venue and meetings across Birmingham. It is primarily a daytime assignment, with some flexibility needed to understand the venue and support relevant activity.
