This small digital agency, based in the centre of Birmingham, is going great guns and growing rapidly! They work with large clients on multiple large projects that affect the user journeys of millions of customers and design world-class user experiences from end to end. They are all about innovation and work closely with their clients to bring digital and physical experiences together. They are now looking for an experienced Senior UX Designer, or Senior Product Designer, to join their talented team. Whilst their offices are based in central Birmingham, there will be mostly remote working, which would work well for anyone West Midlands, East Midlands, Gloucestershire or Warwickshire based. This is a permanent role with a salary of £45-52k (DOE).
This digital agency loves to hire people who are able to push boundaries, working very closely with multiple stakeholders in a business to get to the heart of understanding what the customer needs to do and to ensure that the user experience is at the heart of every project, which involves user journeys that can affect up to 12 million customers.
You have been a UX or Product Designer for a few years and are very comfortable in conducting discovery workshops where you are teasing out information from stakeholders; you're able to confidently interrogate where needed to ensure that the research findings and the discovery phase is thorough and accurate.
You will have direct responsibility for key projects in key clients, where you will audit digital experience across both the physical and digital space. You can take the findings from the workshops and translate them into customer journey maps and be able to explain this back to stakeholders.
You will then concept and develop wireframes right through to high fidelity prototypes and then take these prototypes through to testing phase with users in order to validate (often at speed), based on the feedback given.
You will get the opportunity to work on both mobile and app journeys (iOS / Android, and React Native), so it's important that you can demonstrate the ability to work across both sides.
You aren't scared to question a stakeholder; you have an inquisitive mind that can be open to new ways of working, equally being able to suggest different ways of doing things and keeping up with the latest technology (they currently use Figma).
You may have started out as a UI Designer and moved into UX design and still have a strong appreciation and ability to look at the aesthetic as well as the user journey.
You enjoy conducting workshops and can present to up to 20 stakeholders, being able to lead the room. You can deal with multiple projects at any one time, being able to deal with projects at pace.
You are commercially-minded and can spot an opportunity. You work well collaboratively, but equally are able to lead a project under your own steam. You ideally have worked within an agency, or if in-house, you have worked on multiple projects at any one time.
You use the art of storytelling in your portfolio to display your understanding of the challenges and solutions of the product/service/brand you have created.
You may have other design strings to your bow; perhaps you have previously worked in 3D or motion, branding or visual design - this agency is keen to ensure that they develop you and use your talents in the solutions that they provide to their clients.
If you want to be part of a growing digital agency that is going places and works with some leading brands where your ideas will be listened to, then don't delay in sending your CV and portfolio for consideration, or call me to chat it through further!
