This global design consultancy is looking for a creative and strategic User Experience Lead who is driven by innovation across the whole digital space, immersed within UX, but has a broader overview of digital projects across immersive technologies, motion and even events, delivering world-class projects and products for a wide range of clients globally.  Sitting on the leadership team, you will work alongside other digital and technical experts to deliver multiple digital projects. This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week based onsite in their central Birmingham office. This company offers very good benefits as well as great career development.

The Role

This is a brand new role within the team, driven by growth within their leadership team. They are looking for someone with a UX background, but perhaps also has a wider digital knowledge/understanding having worked with other agile teams across development, project management, motion/animation, and possibly AR/VR/AI.   

This is a client-facing role with a split of 60% involvement in strategy and client development and 40% hands-on within UX, from discovery to delivery of a project, working with their UX/UI team to help deliver the projects, really bringing the project to life for their clients.

You will be involved with developing clients, spotting opportunities and maximizing potential by offering clients solutions to their briefs that really drive innovation and best practice.

You have a strong commercial understanding and will be involved in operations, looking at the best way to deliver projects and the best creative solutions centered on user-centric design.

There is a wide variety of projects and products that this consultancy works with, from events to animation and motion to digital products and 3D visualisation, you will work alongside a talented team of 85 people to design and deliver world-class projects, pushing the boundaries of what has been done previously.

  • You have a strong understanding of digital marketing channels and hold excellent UX and UI skills

  • You are a natural storyteller and can pitch to clients, virtually and face to face, taking their initial brief and stretching what is possible within the latest digital capabilities.

  • You enjoy inspiring others within the team, being a good mentor and manager, helping develop the team around you and helping others to bring out the best in themselves.

  • You can look at processes and offer suggestions for different ways of delivering projects or new technologies that could help enhance projects.

  • You can easily switch between being practitioner to being hands-on UX design.

  • You are able to work on multiple projects at once, this is a fast-paced role and there are many exciting projects that you will be involved in.

  • Being a confident communicator, you can lead the client and the team and navigate multi-level projects, dealing with diverse senior stakeholders

  • You are curious about the digital world, looking into new technologies and different ways of working, a natural problem solver,  you can come up with solutions for clients or team members alike.

  • You are results driven and can manage and lead multiple projects.

  • You have a strong portfolio of UX and UI projects that showcase your work across web applications and software, including FIGMA.
