About Hertford
Hertford is the county town of Hertfordshire, England, and is also a civil parish in the East Hertfordshire district of the county.
The town has a population of approximately 26,000, according to the 2011 census.
Hertford was the home to everyone's favorite ginger wizard and Harry Potter Favorite, Rupert Grint. Rupert lived in Hertford when Harry Potter filming began and completed his GCSE'S in Hertford.
The Parliament of England temporarily moved to Hertford during a plague outbreak in London in 1563. This is why the main square in the town, Parliament Square, is so named, although it is a twentieth-century creation.
