How do you go about hiring a senior digital professional, agency side?

Situation and brief
It was an absolute pleasure working with CAB Engine as they started the search for a Head of Digital to join their agency. CAB Engine is a fantastic agency doing incredible work for a range of clients across all things digital from web builds to social media to content. They made the decision to bring in a Senior Digital Expert who could be client-facing, working with clients to develop high-end digital strategies and support the existing team with delivery. They needed someone with good agency experience, a huge passion for the digital space and someone who was able to manage technical web projects - a skill that is in short supply and high demand.
CAB is a long-standing client of BTB and were more than happy to partner with us exclusively, allowing us to manage all of their recruitment across digital, marketing and creative. This involves managing their direct applications as part of our impartial qualification, ensuring candidates receive the same level of service and experience and allowing the CAB team to focus on what they do best; delivering brilliant campaigns for their clients. After a face-to-face briefing with the Hiring Manager, assisting with job description writing and advising on the challenges in the market, looking at what the essentials were and where we could stretch the brief, along with any compromises, we settled on the core brief and got to work.
We were able to find an incredible candidate who was on brief, with that strong agency background who is brilliant with clients AND able to manage technical web projects. CAB pride themselves on their culture and so finding the right person, who had the same values and work ethos was key and a big part of the process; we were able to achieve this by knowing our client inside and out and knowing our candidates.
More and more of my lovely agency clients have been starting to explore Head of Digital or Digital Strategist roles, bringing in brilliant senior-level people who can help them take their client's digital strategies to the next level.
